Sneak Peek Into The Best Deals: Steam Stealth Fest, and Other Steam Sales July 27, 2022

by Alexandra Sincere

Welcome to the Stealth Fest week on Steam, a celebration of stealth games where you can indulge in new demos and, more significantly, take advantage of discounts on your preferred stealth games. In this article, I will highlight some of the major deals not just within the Stealth Fest, but also in other Steam sales happening. Keep in mind, this event will conclude on July 31st, so be quick to grab your favorite games!

Publisher Sale: Ubisoft (60%-85% Off)

Ubisoft is having a massive sale on most of its celebrated titles including the entire Assassins Creed, Far Cry, Ghost Recon franchise and more. I suggest you check out Assassins Creed: Black Flag if you have an interest in these types of stealth games, as it possibly stands as the best in the larger-than-life series.

Dead By Daylight (-60%) $7.99

Genre – Survival Horror, Multiplayer, Online Co-Op / Platform – PC

Source: Steam

At the top of the Steam sales list lives Dead by Daylight. The game is incredibly popular among both horror fans and those that want to enjoy a game with their friends. Just look at the almost 500K positive reviews on their Steam Page. Publisher Behavior Interactive INC. describes the game as: “a multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape them and avoid being caught and killed.”

Hitman 3 (-50%) $34.99

Genre – Stealth, Action, Assassin, Sandbox, Single-player / Platform – PC & VR

Source: Steam

This addictive assassination game continually sees itself at the top of most played on Steam. Once you start playing the game, it’s known to be hard to stop and with such a steep sale, now might be the right time to start. You see yourself as Hitman who has multiple ways to execute his target. Publisher IO Interactive A/S Describes the game as: “Enter the world of the ultimate assassin. HITMAN World of Assassination brings together the best of HITMAN, HITMAN 2 and HITMAN 3 including the main campaign, contracts mode, escalations, elusive target arcades, and featured live content.” Please Note: There are reports of corporate greed from IO Interactive stated in the Steam reviews, so please do your research before purchasing!

Little Nightmares 1 & 2 (-70%) $19.43

Genre – Horror, Adventure, Single-player, Dark. / Platforms – PC & Steam Deck

Source: Steam

One of the few horror games I’ve seen described as “charming”, this game has a unique children’s aesthetic that reminds the players of the monster that once lived in their closet. The first game (also with a Steam sale of $4.99) took the horror world by storm and was soon followed by a worthy successor ($9.89). Publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment describes their series as: “games [that] will introduce you to a lovely, frightening and iconic puzzle-platformer series, starting with the original from 2017. Multiple awards and praise from critics have proved that Little Nightmares is definitely a must-play title.”

Outlast (-85%) $2.99

Genre – Horror, First-Person, Survival Horror, Atmospheric, Gore / Platforms – PC, Mac, Steam Deck

Source: Steam

Another win for the horror fans out there, Outlast dropped in 2013 and has never looked back. The Steam reviews are static on the title and hail it as one of the greats in the horror genre. Publisher Red Barrel describes their masterpiece as: “Hell is an experiment you can’t survive in Outlast, a first-person survival horror game developed by veterans of some of the biggest game franchises in history. As investigative journalist Miles Upshur, explore Mount Massive Asylum and try to survive long enough to discover its terrible secret… if you dare.” Look at this Steam sale as a great starting point in the franchise, as they will release their fresh addition to the series soon.

A Plague Tale: Innocence (-80%) $7.99

Genre – Story-Rich, Adventure, Female Protagonist, Stealth, Medieval / Platforms – PC & Steam Deck (Playable)

Source: Steam

The fairly unknown game maker Asobo Studio came out of the shadows to give us this beautiful story-driven masterpiece between a young girl and her sickly younger brother. We were treated to the sequel “A Plague Tale: Requiem” ($24.99) soon after. The game is a stunning class in storytelling and I would recommend the series to anyone I know. The studio’s description is “Follow the grim tale of young Amicia and her little brother Hugo, in a heartrending journey through the darkest hours of history.” Please give the Steam sale a try if you enjoy beautifully written stories and stealth gameplay.
